"You'll be home for Christmas," I told Jon. "That's what your attorney said."
"Good", Jon said. "We've got to keep optimistic."
"You can have as many roast potatoes as you can eat," Dan said.
Home for Christmas - it doesn't seem real - five years have gone by since the agony of finding out - the shame - the blame - the recriminations - the acceptance - the visits - the court appearances - I can hardly believe he'll be home with us in a few months.
Please God let it happen.

Jon is very fortunate to have such supportive parents, and has clearly learnt a great deal from his experience.
I am certain that he has an exciting future that will fulfill his desire to not only grow, but to contribute to the common good also.
To have achieved, with family support, the voice that he has, is no mean achievement.
The pressure is on, and the final months will seem endless, but all of you have matured from the experience.
Surely that is what love is for?
Zen :-)
